ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントジャパンアジアは、ドライビングシミュレーター「グランツーリスモ」シリーズの最新作として、PlayStation4（PS4）用ソフトウェア『グランツーリスモSPORT』を10月19日、日本国内に向けて発売した。
グランツーリスモSPORTでは現実にあるサーキットの他、東京の首都高速をモチーフに制作されたコース「東京エクスプレスウェイ」なども収録した。
車両においては、現実にはGT3クラスのマシンが無い車両でも、GT3相当にカスタマイズした、トヨタ『FT-1ビジョングランツーリスモ』、スバル『WRX』、シボレー『コルベット・スティングレイC7』などが登場する。
グランツーリスモSPORTは4K、HDR、ワイドカラープロセスに対応。発売日時点で車体数150車種以上、コースは40コース（17ロケーション）を収録した。ソフト内の「VRモード」では、自身がゲームの世界に入ったような体験ができる「PlayStationVR」にも対応している。
